BECCA COSMETICS were kind enough to share with me their press release for their latest collection coz I'm sure some of you out there would be very interested (as I was)! So here are the details...
The Collection
1. BALEARIC LOVE PALETTE (AU$65) NEW!

Achieving The Balearic Love Look
EYES
- Pat Eye Tint in Romanticism onto the lid with fingertips.
- Apply Eye Colour Powder in Demi Matt in Marcella from the Balearic Love Palette all over the eye, blending into the crease line and intensifying at the outer edges.
- Sweep Eye Colour Powder in Romal from the same palette over the eyelids beginning at the lash line and stopping at the crease.
- Accentuate the inner corners of the eyes with Eye Colour Powder in Atlas.
- Rim the top and bottom lash-line with the violet side of Line and Define Pencil in Cabrera then smudge some Eye Colour Powder in Marcella along the bottom lash line for added depth.
- Coat top and bottom lashes with multiple lashing of Ultimate Mascara in Black.
FACE & CHEEKS
The look is achieved by ensuring the skin is luminous either through a primer or foundation that gives a radiant glow to the skin. Then, contour the face, blending under the cheekbones into the hollows of the cheeks with Mineral Powder Blush in Bolero.
LIPS
Sheer Tint Lip Colour in Valentina then finish with Lip Plumping Moisture Gloss in Hibiscus Tea.
NAILS
Nail Colour – Pasa Doble.
Availability
- The Lip Plumping Moisture Gloss is part of the permanent line and is already available.
- The Balearic Love Smokey Eye Set is now available on the Becca Cosmetics online store in Australia.
(No dates provided to me yet for international release - I will update this post if I find out!). Please see UK release time below. - The rest of the new items in the collection will will be available in David Jones by the end of this month/early Feb and there will be lovely Valentine’s Day events on counter across the 5 Australian locations!
- Unfortunately, I've been told that the Balearic Love Palette will not be launched in the U.S.A and in the U.K. Sorry folks! :-(
So, another impressive looking collection from Becca. I hope this information is useful to you! I'm excited! ^_^ Lots of new things to look forward to here, don't you think? I currently have my eyes on The Balearic Love Palette and new Nail Colours in particular. As mentioned in a previous post, I have already purchased the Balearic Love Smokey Eye Set, which I think is very good value for money, given how much the items cost individually. I'll try to have swatches up soon, so keep an eye out if you're interested. :)
*** UPDATE (25/01/2011): I've just received news about the international release of the Balearic Love Collection! It will be launched mid February in the UK. (Note, you may have noticed that the Anniversary collection has been launched already in the UK - this collection includes the palette I reviewed here). Unfortunately, neither of the two collections will be launched in the U.S.A. (But, my thought on that is that you may still be able to purchase it from Zuneta.com (a UK website that ship internationally!) - if they have it in stock when it is released. Please keep an eye on their website or enquire with them to know for sure) ;-) ) So not to lose hope for those in the U.S.A. - you just won't be able to see and try them in person at a counter (which is the same issue for me when it comes to collections where I live, but I'm usually pretty happy with the Becca products when I receive them after doing a blind purchase online). ***
*** UPDATE (14/03/2011): I was following Temptalia today on twitter and it seems that the Balearic Love Collection is now available on the official Becca Website for the U.S.A! Great news for U.S. fans out there! ^_^ ***
