my labor shows certified in November end 2006 (PD2004 APRIL) but my lawyer sent an email regarding the approval exactly after a month.So for a month I didn't know my labor is approved ,also wasted filing time for I140. and the lawyer took 6 months to just prepare 140 case...
we need to proactively follow up with Lawyers...they do not inform us until asked.
In 2006, the dates were not current anyway...so he took his own time..(I am not saying his delay is justified)...

This was the first thing we did in Jan. when we got started. It won't hurt to do it again. We aurge all the members to do what best they can do to reach out to people, as you have suggested the poster there's also email tempelate. Please use them.

IV members can take printouts and post them in indian /ethinic grocery stores in their town. There are several other people who come to these stores and are in the same boat as us. It would help publicize IV and increase the support.
Another idea might be to have 'send to a friend ' feature on the site , so that members can forward useful information or thread to others.

1- If both husband and wife are working and the 485 for wife is based on husband's Petition then do we need to fill up form I 864 and it's supporting docs? We do not have any other dependents like kids, parents etc..
Here is a copy from the list you provided.
9)Signed & Notarized Affidavit of Support Form 864 (If married and sponsoring your dependents),
- Bank Statement.
- Copies Of Main Applicant's W 2 s (for past three years)
- Copies of recent pay stubs (3 months)
- Employment Verification Letter
- Copies of main applicant's Federal Tax Returns 1040 FORM (for past three years) duly signed.

no it is NOT required. I see conflicting post that say either a 134 or 864 is needed. I called USCIS and they mentioned NO affidavit of support is required if the spouse's petition is based on the I140 on the primary applicant (employment based)
864 is needed only for family based petitions.
you can also see the I485 and the 864 form's instructions. It mentions who should submit the affidavit of support.

FYI, Deadline is not extended. The FBAR is delinquent if filed after 30 June and you need to attach a statement explaining why it is late. Its just that IRS will not penalize you for the delinquent FBAR until Sept 23.

100s of orders of flowers all addresses to one person... With a similar message... trust me they will get the point! And to top it... if we let the media know about this campaign...
Isn't that enough?
The media will cover it because it is news to them. We aren't going to walk up to the city centers and cause mayhem... we are showing our protest in a peaceful, trouble to no one (except maybe USCIS), unique way!
The explanation as to why we are doing this should be done by the ones informing the news agencies! It shouldn't go with the flowers! And we should inform the media only if we get enough people ready to mail those flowers... otherwise we would look like fools!
Also... don't wait for someone else to do things for you! Because if you do... that is all that you will be doing - waiting.
Hope Nike doesn't sue me for this... but... Just Do It!

This morning, at around 09:13 AM PT, I received a couple of text alerts on my Mobile saying the status of our AP petitions had changed !!! With prayer on my mind, I logged onto USCIS website and was happy to notice that both our petitions had changed from 'Initial Review' to 'Document Production or Oath Ceremony'.
I am aware that, we aren't yet out of the trenches yet as anything might happen until the time we actually have the AP document on Hand...But I am believer and I hope for the best and I guess, the major hurdles(approval) have been crossed...
At least, Now I do not have to cancel my flight tickets scheduled for November 27th !!! :)
Here is the complete timeline.
Date the AP Renewal application sent from my Attorney's office: 10/20
Date received at USCIS, Nebraska: 10/21
USCIS Notice Date: 10/21
USCIS AP Renewal approval Date: 11/16
Total Time USCIS took to arrive at the decision: 18 Business days.
I am sure there are a couple of other folks who are waiting on AP for their trips...Good Luck to them...

I hope I receive mine soon. Ours was sent on 10/16 and received on 10/19 at NSC. Receipt date is 10/19. Just like yours there were soft LUDS on 11/12 and 11/13, but the case status still remains Initial Review. Keeping my fingers crossed. Traveling on the 28th of this month. Wish me luck...
