The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye writes in his column this past week that...Keira Knigtley has started hitting those high notes as she prepares for what will be the most important role of her career so far.
Keira will play Eliza Doolittle in a new screen version of My Fair Lady, which will begin filming in the spring of 2010.
Keira recently met a top singing teacher, who gave the 23-year- old star a series of vocal exercises.
The actress can sing, as she proved in the film The Edge Of Love, but the Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe score is a demanding one, particularly the top C notes she'll need to hit on I Could Have Danced All Night.
Later next year Keira will begin working with a choreographer and a movement director, and then train daily with a singing coach and an expert in diction: all of the coaching that will transform her into Eliza.
